Brett Healey is a handsome, kind and upbeat young man from Memphis, TN, who is good at eating. And, it would appear upon meeting him and spending even a few minutes in his orbit, life itself. He fell agonizingly short in his quest to qualify for Coney Island in 2019, pipped by narrow margins at both the Miami, FL, qualifier, and the St. Louis, MO, qualifier. But does Brett Healey hold his shortfall against the winners of those events—Pablo Martinez and Derek Jacobs, respectively? No, he does not. Because he has things in perspective. Which is a rare commodity in this day and age and a credit to him. We expect Brett Healey to do great things in the future.
