Nice gals don't finish last. They often finish third, behind Sonya "The Black Widow" Thomas and "The Lovely" Juliet Lee. Meet Michelle "Cardboard Shell" Lesco, MLE's Humanitarian of the Year. In her work as the senior manager of Youth Services at the Volunteer Center of Southern Arizona, Ms Lesco plays a vital role in helping to rebuild the fragile lives of too many of that state's fractured young. She has also given her time and money to bringing clean water to those who need it. To date, she has funded wells in the Central African Republic's Bakota Liberté Village and Ethiopia's Adi Atsgeba Village and Adikokob Elementary School. She is currently working to bring water to the village of Geremu in Malawi. Meanwhile, Bono of U2 struts the world stage talking about caring instead of giving as much as Michelle Lesco. He has also, to the best of MLE's knowledge, never eaten 25.5 Nathan's Famous hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes, 131 Day-Lee Foods gyoza in 10 minutes or 4.6 pounds of rib meat in 12, as Ms Lesco has done. He stands in Michelle Lesco's shadow, wearing stupid sunglasses despite the darkness.
