"I believe the children are our future." Bertoletti, now a seasoned competitor, brings unmatched passion and a strong jaw to every contest he enters. Although he once learned from the elder eaters, he now stands as a veteran in his own right, with years of experience and numerous titles to his name. Since January of 2006, he has shown a tremendous surge in power on the circuit, and has defeated every other gurgitator. Early in his career, Bertoletti has shown a fortitude possessed by few, if any, other competitors with his victories at the La Costena "Feel the Heat" Jalapeno Eating Championships. With his current jalapeno record of 275 in 8 minutes, Pat Bertoletti has cemented his name in the competitive eating history books. For years, there was one championship that eluded him—the Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest, the holy grail of competitive eating. But on July 4th, 2024, Pat finally won the Nathan's championship, claiming the Mustard Yellow Belt, solidifying his legacy as one of the greatest competitive eaters of all time.
