JOEY REMAINS UNBEATEN IN CINCINNATI BRATS!
Great news, people! Great news! Major League Eating is proud to announce the return of the Oktoberfest Zinzinnati World Bratwurst-Eating Championship to our 2021 circuit. Major League Eaters are warmly encouraged to sign up for the chance to compete in this true legend of the MLE calendar. Brats. Zinzinnati. It’s an experience like no other. Real talk.
At the 2018 event, Joey Chestnut—the #1-ranked eater in the world, like you don't know—ate 65.5 Brats in 10 minutes to remain undefeated at the event. That victory marked his ninth straight, the first dating back in 2010.

Will you eat less than the winner but enjoy the experience knowing that you did your best and that’s all anyone can ever ask? Do you simply want to see the best in the world do what they do so well? This is the Oktoberfest Zinzinnati World Bratwurst-Eating Championship at the legendary Oktoberfest Zinzinnati Festival! At the table or in the crowd—don't you ever miss it!

About Oktoberfest Zinzinnati! Oktoberfest Zinzinnati®—The Biggest Oktoberfest on the Planet—is back, with longer hours and an extra night of zelebration! The event, presented by Samuel Adams, will now open one day earlier and stay open one hour later, Thursday evening, Sep. 16 through Sunday, Sep. 19.
“Our community is roaring back, and Oktoberfest Zinzinnati is making its return in a big way,” said Jill P. Meyer, president and CEO of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, producer of Oktoberfest Zinzinnati. “Oktoberfest Zinzinnati is one of our region’s best loved traditions and we’re excited—for our all of us—to eat, drink and dance together again.”
“Cincinnati’s sister city, Munich, is the original and the world’s largest Oktoberfest. As that tradition is not happening in 2021, Oktoberfest Zinzinnati is going to borrow the title of ‘Biggest Oktoberfest on the Planet,’” said Cynthia Oxley, director of Oktoberfest Zinzinnati. “With an extra night of reveling and extended hours each evening, the party is going to be even bigger.”
First held in 1976, Oktoberfest Zinzinnati has grown to be America's largest Oktoberfest. The celebration of German food, beer, music, and traditions is held on Second and Third Streets in downtown Zinzinnati. Oktoberfest Zinzinnati is presented by Samuel Adams and produced by the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber.
