Great news, Major League Eating universe! We soon return to the proud city of Owensboro for the fourth annual installment of the Owensboro International Bar-B-Q Festival World Mutton Sandwich-Eating Championship. Those mentally, physically and spiritually strong enough to test themselves against a delicious mountain of mutton—and against the best eaters in the world—are warmly encouraged to sign up for the chance to compete.

At last year’s event, Joey Chestnut, the #1-ranked eater in the world, claimed his third straight Mutton Sandwich-Eating title. His 2018 world record-setting performance of 81 quarter-pound chopped mutton sliders in 10 minutes will be on the line this year.

Do you dare challenge Chestnut—undefeated in this event? Or do you simply want to watch the best eaters in the world dine with power and precision? This is the Owensboro International Bar-B-Q Festival World Mutton Sandwich-Eating Championship! At the table or in the crowd—don't you ever miss it!

This contest will take place at 4pm Central on Saturday, May 9th, 2020, at the Owensboro International Bar-B-Q Festival, in McConnell Plaza along the riverfront next to the Owensboro Convention Center, in downtown Owensboro, KY!
