Ladies and gentlemen of the Major League Eating universe, we come with great news. Truly great news. MLE is proud to announce a new addition to our slate of annual eating contests—The 2019 World Slopper Eating Championship. The event will take place at the Colorado State Fair in Pueblo, CO, aka the spiritual home of the slopper.
The slopper? Yes, you read that correctly. When in Pueblo or Colorado Springs, CO, the slopper is not to be missed. This local delicacy features a cheeseburger lovingly smothered—slopped, really—in delicious green chili. Utensils will not be provided. Paper towel will be. Maybe bring a Wet-Nap.
A world record will be set at this event. Will it be you? Do you dare tackle slopper after slopper over eight minutes of grueling, but frankly delicious, sanctioned competition? Does the beauty of Pueblo, CO, call you this Labor Day weekend? Do you simply want to watch the best in the world do what they do so well? This is The 2019 World Slopper Eating Championship!
