JOEY CHESTNUT CLAIMS FIRST 2014 BUFFALO WIN IN BUFFALO BUFFET BOWL!
It took but three minutes and 57 seconds for Joey "Jaws" Chestnut to take down a monster five-pound sandwich to claim the 2014 Buffalo Buffet Bowl. His trademark speed and jaw strength were apparent, as each bite appeared to strengthen the next. The bread, cold cuts, cheese and traditional condiments and fixings stood no chance when facing the mouth of the one called Jaws.
The 2014 event took a departure from tradition. The event typically serves up an array of Buffalonian culinary favorites, including, but not limited to Beef on Weck, Buffalo-style pizza and Buffaloaded chicken fingers. This year, a monster sub sandwich from 716 took center stage. It was, by all reports, delicious.
Adrian "The Rabbit" Morgan finished second; Jeff "The Beast Man" Butler finished third. Last year's winner, Ms Miki Sudo, of Las Vegas, NV, did not place. Onlookers described her absence from the podium as "surprising" and "weird."
RESULTS! FIRST TO FINISH THE FIVE-POUND SANDWICH! 1st Joey Chestnut - $1,000 2nd Adrian Morgan - $500 3rd Jeff Butler - $250
