The National Sweet Corn Eating Championship Returns!

Sharpen your appetite and get ready for one of the most beloved stops on the competitive eating circuit. The National Sweet Corn Eating Championship, proudly presented by Major League Eating, is back for another unforgettable showdown of speed, stamina, and sweet Florida flavor.

Set as always at the historic Yesteryear Village inside the South Florida Fairgrounds, this fan-favorite event headlines the annual Sweet Corn Fiesta, where thousands gather to celebrate the golden harvest of Florida’s freshest sweet corn. It’s a day packed with sunshine, community, and plenty of buttery bragging rights.

When the clock starts, competitors will have 12 minutes to devour as many ears of sweet corn as possible in pursuit of glory, prizes, and a place in competitive eating history. The field will feature elite professionals from around the world alongside ambitious challengers eager to test their limits against the best.

Last year delivered unforgettable drama as Gideon Oji won back his Sweet Corn crown from Miki Sudo, Can he do it again? Can anyone break the long-standing mark of 61.75 ears of corn set by the legendary Carmen Cincotti? Will a new contender rise and rewrite the record books? Or will we witness a performance no one saw coming?

This contest will take place on Sunday, April 26th, 2026, at 3:00 PM EST for the ultimate corn-eating battle at the Sweet Corn Fiesta, hosted at the Yesteryear Village within the South Florida Fairgrounds, 9067 Southern Boulevard, West Palm Beach, FL 33411.
