Get Ready for the Epic Return of The Wings for Wishes Professional Wing Eating Championship
Wings will fly, records will be challenged, and legends will rise once again. On March 7th, 2026, the world’s elite competitive eaters return to Miami for another no-holds-barred showdown, The Wings for Wishes Professional Wing Eating Championship. Sure this is an eating contest, but it’s also a mouthwatering mission with heart, rallying support for the life-changing work of Make-A-Wish Southern Florida.
Now entering its 12th year, Wings for Wishes has cemented itself as one of the most anticipated and beloved stops on the Major League Eating circuit. For 10 relentless minutes, competitors push the limits of speed, stamina, and sheer willpower as wings disappear at a blistering pace. But when the final drumette drops, everyone unites around a greater purpose, raising critical funds and awareness for children who need it most. As we gear up for another unforgettable battle, we invite fans, families, and food lovers alike to join us in supporting Make-A-Wish Southern Florida.
The Main Course: A Feast for the Fearless
Picture it: a towering sea of crispy, saucy, perfectly cooked chicken wings, glistening under the Miami sun. The challenge is simple, and brutal. Competitors have 10 minutes to consume as many wings as possible. The benchmark? A seemingly untouchable world record of 224 wings, set by James Webb in 2024 and then tied again in 2025! Will someone finally surpass it? Will Webb return to defend his dominance? The clock, and the wings, will decide.
History in the Making
Last year’s championship was nothing short of historic. James Webb’s astonishing 224-wing performance tied his own record, and edged out competitive eating icon Joey Chestnut, who posted an incredible 198 wings of his own. With stars like Nick Wehry, Miki Sudo, and other Major League Eating heavyweights in the mix, the competition delivered nonstop drama from start to finish. In 2026, the bar is set even higher, with bragging rights, glory, and a $4,000 prize purse fueling the fire.
A Partnership with Purpose
At its core, Wings for Wishes is about more than competition; it’s about compassion. With Make-A-Wish Southern Florida once again at the heart of the event, every wing eaten helps bring hope, joy, and unforgettable experiences to children facing critical illnesses. It’s proof that even the most extreme competition can make a meaningful difference.
