The Stack Strikes Back: The World Pancake Eating Championship Returns to Williamsburg This Fall!

One year ago, a brand-new championship was born in the Pancake Capital of the World. Ten minutes, unlimited pancakes, and one unforgettable performance later, competitive eating history had been made. This fall, Major League Eating returns to Williamsburg, VA, for the second annual World Pancake Eating Championship at the Williamsburg Pancake Festival, and the question on everyone's mind is simple: can last year's record be broken? With more pancake houses per capita than anywhere else in America, Williamsburg has long been synonymous with breakfast greatness. Now, it's home to one of the fastest-rising events in competitive eating, where stacks disappear at astonishing speed and legends are made one buttery bite at a time.

Golden, fluffy, buttery pancakes are back at the center of the action. Sponsored by Colonial Williamsburg, these golden stacks of joy will once again line the tables as the world's best eaters battle through ten minutes of breakfast-fueled chaos. Last year, Geoff Esper stunned the crowd by devouring 35 pancakes in 10 minutes, establishing a new world record and setting a benchmark that seemed impossible just moments before it happened. But records are made to be challenged. The next great pancake performance could be waiting just around the griddle, and every competitor arriving in Williamsburg will have one goal: leave with the title and a place in the record books.

What started as a debut has quickly become a can’t-miss stop on the Major League Eating circuit. The first championship proved that Williamsburg and competitive eating are a perfect match, and now the stakes are even higher. Fans will witness the next chapter of a growing tradition, while competitors will battle for $5,000 in prize money, championship glory, and the chance to etch their name alongside one of the sport's most memorable records.
