The griddle is heating up once again! On Saturday, September 20, 2025, the syrup flows west to Ontario, California, for the second annual NORMS Hotcake Eating Championship. Last year, Pat Bertoletti made history in Las Vegas, devouring an astonishing 46 hotcakes in 10 minutes to seize victory and set the official world record. Now, the question looms: can anyone stomach more stacks?

A Syrupy Showdown, Bigger Than Ever
Picture tower after tower of fluffy, golden-brown buttermilk hotcakes, soft and steamy at the center, dripping with melted butter and rivers of syrup. At last year’s contest, the plates disappeared at breakneck speed, but this year the stakes are higher, the stacks are taller, and the hunger for glory is deeper than ever. Ten minutes. Endless hotcakes. One champion.

The Rivalries Heat Up
With the record officially set, the NORMS: Hotcake Eating Championship now enters its second year with the weight of history behind it. Every bite is a chance to topple Bertoletti’s towering achievement, and every plate brings competitors closer to immortalizing themselves in breakfast lore.
