CP Foods Biggest Eater 2011-12 Kicks Off in Singapore Saturday!

THE STAGE IS SET FOR THE ULTIMATE SHOWDOWN FOR THE TITLE OF CP BIGGEST EATER 2011-2012 SINGAPORE CHAMPION

Singapore is one step closer to finding the nation’s biggest male and female eaters as the top 33 finalists of the CP Biggest Eater Competition 2011-2012 (Singapore) take the eating stage this Saturday, 22 October 2011, at Orchard Central, to battle for the chance to represent Singapore at the CP Biggest Eater Competition 2011-2012 Grand Finale in Bangkok on February 11, 2012. Be there and cheer the finalists on in their quest to be the best, and also catch World Major League Eaters Sonya “The Black Widow” Thomas, Matt “Megatoad” Stonie, and “Crazy Legs” Conti ‘LIVE’ in action as they challenge the current record of eating 380 CP Shrimp Wontons in 8 minutes, set last year by World Number 1 Eater Joey “Jaws” Chestnut.

Expect a battle nothing short of world-class as the 26 male and seven female participants who emerged tops in the Local Heats come up against the professional eaters on the biggest competitive eating stage in Asia Pacific. In what could possibly be a chance of a lifetime, the top 2 male and female finalists will get the opportunity to be on the same stage and battle it out with three of the world’s most outstanding Major League Eating athletes.

Held over the weekend of October 15-16, the Singapore Heats received a record-breaking response this year as over 400 participants snapped up all the registration slots within four weeks. Amidst the roar of enthusiastic cheers, spectators witnessed intense jaw-dropping action as participants from all walks of life vied furiously for the top spots that would qualify them for the Singapore Finals. Proving to be the ones to beat at the Local Finals, defending male champion Ng Chin Sheng devoured 92 CP Shrimp Wontons, while top female finalist Helen Tan ate 70 CP Shrimp Wontons, within 5 minutes during the Heats. The male and female champions of the Singapore Finals will each walk away with $2,000 USD cash, and flight and accommodation for two to Bangkok to participate in the regional Grand Finale in February 2012, for the ultimate honor of being the first ever CP Biggest Eater Regional Grand Champions.
