TooJay's Celebrating St. Patty's Day with Record Cash Purse

The TooJay's World Class Corned Beef Eating Championship just got richer...a lot richer. MLE has announced that TooJay's Gourmet Deli and National Deli will put up $25,000 in cash prizes when a field of Major League Eaters and local amateurs descends upon Palm Beach Gardens, FL this St. Patrick's Day (Thursday, March 17th) for The 2nd Annual TooJay's World Class Corned Beef Eating Championship!

Two contests, one for pros and one for amateurs, will be held as part of the blowout event. The world's best Major League Eaters will battle it out for $20,000 which includes a $12,500 first place prize--the highest of its kind on the circuit.

Local amateurs, which will be selected by TooJay's (more details to follow soon) will have their own chance of glory before the pros when they'll compete for a hefty in-its-own-right $5,000 cash purse!

Add it all together and you have a $25,000 St. Patty's Day celebration that will not be topped!

Last year's event saw #1-ranked Joey Chestnut eat 15.5 TooJay's Corned Beef sandwiches in 10 minutes to top a field of top-ranked MLE eaters and local pros while winning $5,000 cash.

Professional registration for The 2nd Annual TooJay's World Class Corned Beef Eating Championship will open Monday, January 24th at 11:00am EST.
