Chestnut Sets Earnings Mark in 2010 with more than $200,000

2010 proved to be a hearty year in more ways than one for Joey Chestnut who earned a record-setting $218,500 through Major League Eating prize money, appearance fees and endorsements. The figure represents the largest annual earnings for one eater in competitive eating history.
Chestnut, the #1-ranked eater in the world, won fifteen contests worldwide in 2010 including a fourth consecutive Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July Hot Dog Eating Championship at Coney Island.
