Lerman, Boone in Myrtle Beach

Don Moses Lerman and Dale Boone, arguably the world's greatest sprinters, will test their respective skills at the Broadway at the Beach Ultimate Eating Tournament on April 24, 2004.

Lerman, coming off a shocking baked bean win (six pounds in one minute 48 seconds), is expected to edge out the struggling Boone. Boone has been plagued by a string of questionable outings of late and is not known for capacity. The Myrtle Beach steeplechase tests eaters on both speed and capacity in a series of five two-minute rounds.

The only wild card may come in the form of local hero, Pavel Sankov, the young Russian native who will defend his title.
