Major League Eating's unofficial Vegetable Week has been set for the weekend of April 24-25. On Saturday, April 24, the World Deep-Fried Asparagus Eating Championship will return to The Stockton Asparagus Festival which is celebrating its 25th year anniversary. Last year, the world watched as Pat "Deep Dish" Bertoletti strolled into Northern California and delivered hometown hero and #1-ranked Joey Chestnut his first loss in four years at the Asparagus Festival.

On Sunday, April 25, the Sweet Corn Fiesta is back with the National Sweet Corn Eating Championship. Few will forget Floridian Hall "Hoover" Hunt claiming his first MLE title in 2009 after eating 33 ears of corn to beat out 2006 champ Jammin' Joe LaRue and world record holder Crazy Legs Conti. Can he repeat?
