Nathan's Contest a Must See

For the second time this year, the Nathan's Famous July Fourth extravaganza has been placed alongside such sporting events as The Masters, the Super Bowl, and the Kentucky Derby.

The venerable LIFE Magazine recently published a list of 'Must See Sport Meccas & Events.' The original Nathan's Famous in Coney Island is the mecca and the annual Hot Dog Eating Contest is the event.

Earlier this year Robert Tuchman included the Nathan's Famous finals in his popular book "100 Sporting Events You Must See Live."
