Pete "Pretty Boy" Davekos defended his b.good Garlicky Greens Eating title on Saturday afternoon after downing 7.5 lbs of spinach to set a new world record. Despite the downpour, a capacity crowd turned out to b.good's new location in the Legacy Place Mall (Dedham, MA) to watch Massachusetts' top-ranked Major League Eater put on a show.

Davekos beat a colorful cast of characters that included loyal b.good customers such as King Hungry VIII from Chicago, IL and the Garlicky Green Giant from Durham, NC. Gangles, a b.good employee, also competed only to fall a few bowls short of the winning total.
