Three More Contests Added to MLE's September Schedule!!

In a month that already boasts fourteen Major League Eating contests, three more are being added to the schedule bringing the monthly prize purse close to $95,000!

-On September 19th, Harrah's Louisiana Downs in Bossier City, LA will be hosting the Harrah's LAD World Grits Eating Championship*. $5,000 is on the line in this maximum capacity event. Eater X is primed to defend his title after eating more than 13 pounds of the southern specialty last year.

Two contests will be held on Saturday, September 26th:

-The City of Lewisville Texas will again be hosting the Old Town Lewisville World Tamale Eating Championship** from the Lewisville Western Day Festival. $3,500 is up for grabs in the 12-minute tamale eating contest.

-The Upper Crust Pizzeria out of Boston will be hosting The Upper Crust World Pizza Eating Championship** from the Phantom Gourmet's Food Festival behind Fenway Park on Lansdowne and Ipswich Street. Upper Crust is putting up $2,000 in prize money to see who can consume the most slices of the delicious Boston-based pizza.

**Registration for the Old Town Lewisville World Tamale Eating Championship and The Upper Crust World Pizza Eating Championship will open on IFOCE.com Monday, August 31st at 11:00am EST.
