16" Pizza World Record belongs to Deep Dish

Major League Eating and the IFOCE would like to report an oversight in the 16" pizza world record category. Pat "Deep Dish" Bertoletti was not properly recognized for his victory at the Battle at the Big Apple World Pizza Eating Championship in Fort Pierce, FL last November 8th. Bertoletti ate an astounding 47 slices of pizza to break the record of 45 slices set a month before. As an added bonus for breaking the record, event host The Van Duzer Foundation rewarded Pat with an extra $500. The record books have been updated accordingly.

The mission of The Van Duzer Foundation is to assist families and individuals in St. Lucie County Florida, who are experiencing financial and personal hardship brought about by unforeseen crisis or tragedy.
