Legs Steps up in Biloxi

A road report from Richard Shea informs us that Crazy Legs has won the first Nathan's Famous qualifier with 25 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes, earning a seat the table on July 4 and securing a measure of fame in Biloxi, Mississippi. Following Legs was Ralph Frasca, a rookie who placed second with 14, and John Gerriish in third with 12.

There was a capacity crowd in the casino, with overflow to the pool, and Rich Shea continued unfazed when the sound system failed midway, calling the event to the back of the house with a volume Pavarotti (now dead, RIP) would envy.
