Road Report: Nathan's in Charlotte

On a great stage with a great band and big ole NC crowd, Hall Hunt crushed his 2007 record of 28.75 hot dogs and buns in 12 minutes by eating 34.5 in 10 minutes. Hunt, who is training for a July 12th marathon, advances to Coney Island for the ESPN televised Nathan's Famous finals.

The second place finisher was C. Todd Hennessey with an impressive 18 HDBs. In third was Chris 'no gluten' Wooten who ate 11, a personal best.

David and Emily, a fierce girlfriend/boyfriend eating team, came onto the stage dancing to Islands in the Stream, the emotional Parton/Rogers duet. David, who is getting his MBA and hopes to someday create powerpoints for the BofA brass, requested we not use his last name. No sweat Mr. Osieri.
