Spike to Televise ChowDown

The first episode of Major League Eating’s three-part ChowDown series will air on Spike on Thursday, October 18th at 11pm EST.

The show, packed cover-to-cover with eating action, is called Wedges & Wings and will feature 16 competitive eaters in two grueling eating contests.

Starring eaters like Joey Chestnut, Takeru Kobayashi, Eater X and Pat Bertoletti, the ChowDown will explore the limits of human capacity along with a number of Major League Eating’s most hardnosed rivalries.

Show hosts George Shea, Crazy Legs Conti and Richard Shea will deliver all the action from the heart of The Fremont Street Experience, one of the most colorful and energetic spots in Las Vegas, NV.

Many gurgitators in Wedges & Wings will be competing for the first time on national television. Known as table enders, newcomers like Steakbellie and Wing Kong will go cheek to jowl with The Mad Greek and Juris Shibayama. All of these individuals will be looking to prove to the world that they have what it takes to compete in the top rankings of the world’s fastest growing sport.
