Strawberry Strawberry

St. Patrick Bertoletti set a world record for eating strawberry shortcake at today's Mattituck Strawberry Festival sponsored by the Mattituck Lions Club.

The mohawked Chicagoan consumed 15.25 pounds of shortcake in 8 minutes for first place. In second place was Eater X who consumed 13.5 pounds and in third place was Crazy Legs Conti with nine and a half pounds of strawberry shortcake.

Special mention to Peter X, Eater X's dad, who competed for the first time on a sunny east end father's day.
