Pat Bertoletti ate 9 pounds 2.25 ounces to win the Sky City Casino Posole Eating championship in Acoma,NM today.

Rich LeFevre placed third with 8 pounds 8 ounces.

In a surprise, newcomer Helen Haggerty placed 2nd with 8 pounds 10.75 ounces.

A recent Bryn Mawr college graduate, Ms. Haggerty wore her lucky field hockey skirt and a red sash in her hair.

In fourth place was Seattle's Erik The Red who consumed 7 pounds 5 ounces.
