Chinook Winds World Rib Eating Championship

The Chinook Winds Casino will hold the 2006 Chinook Winds World Rib Eating Championship on July 15 and July 16, 2006, in Lincoln City, OR. The event will include both amateur and professional contests with prize money.

The rib-eating contest is a feature of the Chinook Winds’ annual “Smokin’ at the Ocean” food festival. Those over 18 years of age are eligible and the IFOCE will handle registration beginning Monday, June 5.

Joey Chestnut won the rib-eating title in 2005 with a world-record performance of 5.5 pounds in 12 minutes.
