Legs Tops Zigun at CIUSA Fundraiser

Crazy Legs Conti topped Coney Island impressario Dick Zigun and set a new world record by downing 92 mini franks in 10 minutes. Zigun, a 52-year-old rookie, consumed a remarkable 87.

The contest was held on Saturday night as a feature of the Coney Island USA annual fundraiser at Crobar in Manhattan's trendy Chelsea district. The eating contest occured following an impressive list of entertainers -- including a burlesque trapeze act -- that was led by the inimitable Fred Kahl, noted magician and host.

Ken Adams, one of Brooklyn's first citizens, was on hand to lend the affair credibility within the world of normality.
