Strawberries to Badlands

Eric ‘Badlands’ Booker consumed 7 pounds of strawberries in four minutes to beat a field of college eaters at Southeastern Louisiana University and win the World Strawberry Jubilee Eating Championship, which occurred in Hammond, LA on April 13, 2005.

“Strawberries are one of the more important fruits harvested in the Western Hemisphere,” said Badlands after the contest. “Every state in America grows strawberries, but in my estimation Lousiana’s are the finest.”
