Nathan's World French Fry-Eating Championship
03-04-2005
America’s finest competitive eaters will assemble at Nathan’s Famous in Oceanside, NY, on March 31, 2005 for the first-ever Nathan’s Famous World French Fry-Eating Championship.
The 12-person, all-you-can-eat contest, is an homage to Nathan’s Famous Krinkle Cut French Fries, which have created generations of devotees around the world since Nathan’s Famous was founded in 1916. The fresh-cut French fries are thicker and considered the most delicious available by many long-time French fry connoisseurs.
The contest, which will occur at 2:00 pm, is open to all those over the age of 18. The event will be sanctioned by the International Federation of Competitive Eating, the organization that sanctions the world-renowned Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog Eating Contest.
The Nathan’s Famous French fry is cooked in corn oil, which is cholesterol free and has no trans fatty acids. The IFOCE will handle all registration.
