Krystal Square Off in Montgomery

Top eaters assemble in Montgomery, Alabama, for the next event in the ongoing Krystal Square Off circuit, which has moved like a juggernaut through the southeast durign the past several weeks. The lovely Carlene LeFevre of Henderson, Nevada, seeks to qualify for the November 13 championship event after finishing second to her husband, Richard, in Macon, Georgia.

Carlene consumed 30 Krystals in eight minutes in Macon and is expected to top this number in Montgomery. The championship event in Chattanooga, Tennessee, is the focus of enormous attention in the competitive eating community. A total of $17,500 in prizes is on the line, as is the Krystal title.
