Another highly regarded gurgitator fell at the hands of an unheralded southern eater on Tuesday, September 28, as Sam Vise destroyed the Krystal dreams of competitive eating veteran Don 'Moses' Lerman.

Vise ate 34 Krystal hamburgers to Lerman's 21, sending the World Butter Eating Champion back to New York with his hopes of a spot in the Krystal World Hamburger Eating Championship all but erased.

The pride of the United States' northeastern gurgitators now rests squarely upon the broad shoulders of 'Hungry' Charles Hardy, who heads to Macon, GA on Sunday for a showdown with a host of southern eaters including Dale 'Mouth of the South' Boone and Ken Tittle.
