Milwaukee Braces for Jarvis

Beef-eating powerhouse Ed Cookie Jarvis is scheduled to challenge Milwaukee's most daring eaters when Mo's Irish Pub hosts its Anniversary Corned Beef Eating Classic at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 14. Jarvis and other competitors will be vying for the Mo's Irish Pub Shillelagh of Eating Greatness.

The competition is part of Mo's Irish Pub's weekend-long first anniversary celebration. In addition to Saturday's contest, Mo's will feature live Irish bands, a traditional Irish breakfast from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on both Saturday, Aug. 14 and Sunday, Aug. 15, and a special Mass on Sunday, Aug. 15.

A beef-eating specialist, Jarvis is well-known for having eaten a 76-ounce steak in less than eight minutes, and six 11-ounce chicken fried steaks with white gravy in 12 minutes.
