About Major League Eating

Major League Eating is the world body that oversees all professional eating contests. The organization, which developed competitive eating and includes the sport's governing body, the International Federation of Competitive Eating, helps sponsors to develop, publicize and execute world-class eating events in all varieties of food disciplines.

MLE-sanctioned eating contests provide dramatic audience entertainment and offer an unparalleled platform for media exposure. The world's top competitive eating stars—such as Joey Chestnut, Matt Stonie. Miki Sudo, Geoffrey Esper and Eric “Badlands” Booker—are all Major League Eaters.

Major League Eating holds approximately 70 events annually, including the Nathan’s Famous Fourth
of July Hot Dog Eating Contest in Coney Island, NY. Other MLE sponsors include Hostess, Hooters, Heinz Ketchup, Pizza Hut, Old Navy, Bass Pro Shops, 7-Eleven, ESPN, Taco Bell, Jimmy John’s, Pepto Bismol, Wingstop, Harrah’s Entertainment, Isle of Capri Casinos, and Roy Rogers. MLE also holds events at a variety of events including the New Orleans Oyster Festival, the National Buffalo Wing Festival, Norfolk Harbor Fest, and the Wisconsin State Fair.
