On Saturday, August 30th, 2025, the iconic Colorado State Fairgrounds will once again serve as the backdrop for a mouthwatering melee: the World Slopper Eating Championship. Set against a rich historical tapestry—from its origins as a modest agricultural gathering to its current role as a cultural cornerstone—this event dishes up big flavors and even bigger thrills.

Meet the Mighty Slopper
It’s messy. It’s bold. It’s pure Pueblo. The legendary Slopper features a juicy cheeseburger smothered in spicy Green Chile sauce, nestled atop a bun and served with pride in a humble paper boat. Last year, Geoff Esper reclaimed his crown defeating James Webb by just half a slopper! With only 8 minutes on the clock and a $4,000 prize purse on the line, the 2025 field is fired up and ready to rewrite the record books. Will a new Slopper sovereign rise?

The contest will take place at 3:00 PM MDT on Saturday, August 30th, 2025, at Colorado State Fair, 1001 Beulah Ave, Pueblo, CO 81004!
