Jammin' Joe LaRue brings equal measures of determination and intellect to the table -- and the results have been remarkable. LaRue, a culinary arts student, had a notable year in 2006, winning the Sweet Corn Fiesta's Sweet Corn Eating Championship and breaking Cookie Jarvis' record with 34 ears in 10 minutes. LaRue understands the properties of the food he eats and uses that knowledge to advance his natural athletic talent. This man mountain -- he stands 6'8" tall -- is in perfect physical condition, but he continues to train at the gym to give himself an edge at the table.
