Spritely BeeJay Alexander—full name, Betty Joan—burst onto the MLE scene with a dominant performance at the 2015 Nathan's Famous Fourth of July Hot Dog Eating Contest qualifying event in Charlotte, NC, eating 14 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes. The Norfolk, VA, resident works as a marine mammal trainer at the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center. She specializes in seals and otters but has an affinity with all of God's creatures.
