Couple recipes from fan bases that are always home during the Big Game.

Butt Fumble Apple Crumble

The Line Up:

Four peeled and sliced apples
1 ˝ cups brown sugar
1 cup flour
1 cup oatmeal
3 teaspoons cinnamon
1 stick of salted butter

The Game Plan:

Mix all ingredients except apples together in a mixing bowl until they are merged and forming small grouped crumbs. Spray Pam on 10” brownie pan (or butter the pan). Put 1/3 of crumb mixture on base of pan and add apples on top. Evenly spread remaining crumb mixture on top of the apple layer. Place pan on medium heat grill and cook until apples are softened and crumbs are brown.

Matty’s Nice Fire & Ice Wings

The Lineup:

4 pounds wings
1 cup tempura mix
1 tablespoon each salt and pepper
1 bottle standard BBQ sauce
1 cup honey
1/4 cup habanero pepper
2 tablespoon fresh orange zest
1 cup fresh orange juice

The Game Plan:

Clean up the wings and cut off tips. Cut wings in half at the joint. Put salt and pepper in the tempura mix. Dredge wings in flour. Make sure to sake off excess, you’re just giving these a little crisp, you’re not flat-out making fried, breaded wings.

Mix all other ingredients in a large bowl.

Pour oil to 1.5 to 2 inches in a large deep skillet. Heat oil to medium-high or 375 degrees.

Fry wings in batches. Then spin in large bowl. Coat well. Allow to cool a moment before serving.
