Stage Set for PB&B Contest at Biloxi's Isle Casino

Major League Eating will sanction the first-ever Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwich Eating Championship in honor of Elvis’s 75th Birthday. The event will occur at The Isle Casino Hotel in Biloxi, MS on Saturday, January 9th at 2 PM Central.

This is the first competition of the 2010 Major League Eating Circuit and the Isle Casino Hotel is putting up a prize purse of $5,000. This hefty purse has attracted such stars as Humble Bob Shoudt, Eater X, Badlands Booker, Beautiful Brian, Erik the Red, Wing Kong, Super Paul Barlow and Nasty Nate. Crazy Legs Conti, winner of the ’09 Nathan’s Famous Mississippi qualifier, will return to the Gulf for the contest. He is undefeated in Biloxi.

Elvis, a native of Tupelo, MS, was known for his love of Peanut Butter and Banana sandwiches. While he cannot perform prior to the January 2nd event, Beautiful Brian of Brooklyn is scheduled to deliver a couple of The King’s deeper cuts by way of warming up the crowd.
