Eater X, Crazy Legs and Head Woof Rock Rock Center

Major League Eating held a formal launch event for MLE: The Game today at the Nintendo store in Manhattan’s Rockefeller Center.

To celebrate the forthcoming WiiWare offering, Crazy Legs and Eater X faced off in a real, six-minute watermelon eating contest. Crazy Legs beat Eater X by one bite, consuming just over 15 slices of watermelon. Next, the two eating stars competed in a virtual watermelon eating contest on a 50” plasma television that was hooked up to MLE:The Game. Conti was doing well -- ahead more than half way through – but he suffered an embarrassing reversal, making Eater X the overall winner.

Prior to the contests, Badlands Booker performed his upbeat “Sweet Science” and Beautiful Brian performed his “Let Me Tell Ya,” a ballad of unadulterated emotion.
