Janus Wins Krystal Square Off at Gwinnett County Fair

Tim Janus won the 2005 Krystal Square Off hamburger-eating qualifier on Sunday, September 18 at the Gwinnett County Fair outside of Atlanta, GA.

Janus, known as Eater X, consumed 39 Krystals in eight minutes to earn one of the coveted seats at the world championship table on November 19, 2005, in Chattanooga, Tenn., where he will compete for a share of the $22,500 cash purse.

Placing second at the Gwinnett County fair square off was Loren Bubba Yarbrough, who ate 27 krystals, and in third place was shaun Kessler with 26.
