Molar Extraction Aids Jarvis Rib Effort

07-15-2004

When Cookie Jarvis boards the plane from New York to Oregon, he will face a nine-hour trip – 2,000 miles in the air and 200 miles on the ground – to the bluffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean in the Northwestern corner of United States. It is a long trip in coach, but the prize – $1,500 and the title of Chinook Winds World Rib-Eating Champion – is worth it.

The Chinook Winds Casino in Lincoln City, OR, will hold the World Rib Eating Championship this year on Saturday, July 17th, 2004, with a total of $2,500 in prize money on the table.

The 2003 Chinook Winds World Rib Eating Championship was won by Jarvis, who devoured 4.65 lbs of rib meat in 12 minutes. Jarvis loves the rib, the most prestigious of the debris foods next to the chicken wing. And with his recent double-molar extraction, he is poised for a great performance.

This is an IFOCE event and the IFOCE will handle all registration -- spots are still open. Interested parties should email ribs@ifoce.com or call 212.627.5766 for more information.
