Only the unrelenting power eating we have come to expect and respect from The Great One: Ten minutes, 32 four-ounce Case's Pork Roll Sandwiches. Chestnut wins. The expected outcome came out.
Major League Eating proudly welcomed The Trenton Thunder World Famous Case's Pork Roll Eating Championship to its slate of 2015 contests for this inaugural Championship. For those living under a rock: The Trenton Thunder are the Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees; the team plays in the Eastern Division of the Eastern League, and are three-time Eastern League Champions. The event took place at the home of the Thunder, ARM & HAMMER Park in Trenton, NJ, and showcased the culinary masterpiece that is Case's Pork Roll.
Geoffrey Esper again impressed for second; he is not one to be messed with, this Esper. One feels that once he truly masters his craft after more game-time experience, he will force his way into the upper echelons of our sport. Indeed, to finish one pound behind Chestnut over ten minutes speaks to a bright future. Yasir Salem, Juliet Lee and Gideon Oji filled out the money positions.
