The Hillshire Farm brats proved delicious and fast—Chestnut used a double-brat technique to stack up the numbers early in the event, the plates of five brats wiped clean of their bounty with every passing 30 seconds. Adrian Morgan matched Chestnut brat-for-brat for the first four minutes of the contest but he could not hang for the duration. Tough break. MIki Sudo, however, could, lodging 61.5 brats in 10 on debut. One wonders if the result could have been closer (or different) if Sudo ate with the same remorselessness and ruthlessness as Chestnut. MLE, to this day, has never seen her eat angry. When it happens, well, let's just leave the tantalizing thought dangling in the ether to be answered one day. Or not. It's up to her.
Wild Bill came fourth before driving the nine hours home to Breinigsville. It was a good day.
