REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT IS OPEN!

The Acme Oyster Eating World Championship returns to New Orleans on Sunday, June 2, for another installment of this highly demanding, highly technical competition—one of the signature events on the MLE calendar.

Those who were present in 2012 witnessed history, as Sonya "The Black Widow" Thomas—world #5 and noted fan of fresh LA seafood—downed 47 dozen oysters in 8 minutes to seal a new world record. After the event, fellow competitor Aaron "The A-Train" Osthoff told the press, "If I was not there to see if for myself, I would not believe that it happened. But I was there. I did see it. And I do believe."

Believe that this year's Acme Oyster Eating World Championship will stun and amaze, just as those that have preceded it have. Making its debut in 2010 at the New Orleans Oyster Festival, the event will anchor the 2-day festival for the fourth consecutive year. A lively field always greets NOLA, given the prestige of the ACME title within the MLE family.

Competitors will be required to eat the oysters with a fork, as mandated by MLE.

This contest will take place at 11.45AM Central, on Sunday June 2, 2013 at the New Orleans Oyster Festival in Woldenburg Park, New Orleans, LA!

Prize Payouts! 1st - $1,000 2nd - $500 3rd - $250
