Sonya Thomas saw her hand raised in victory for the second time in as many Saturdays on March 27, this time at Binga's Stadium in the 1st Annual Binga's Tender Bender Challenge. The Black Widow ate nearly 7 pounds of Binga's tenders to take the title and the $1,500 first place cash prize. The Notorious B.O.B. Bob Shoudt fell short by just a third of a pound (6.595) and Eater X rounded out the top-3 with a few tenders over 6 pounds himself. Nasty Nate Biller took 4th place and $250 after eating 4 pounds of Binga's tenders.
The March Madness crowd was in full effect at Binga's Stadium and a few of the local amateurs sidled up next to the pros at the championship table to test their appetites over tenders. Homegrown hero Buffalo Bennie had upset on his mind, only to fall a few tenders short and finish in 11th place.
