MTV’s Quddus Phillippe hosted the First Annual MTV Movie Awards Popcorn-Eating Competition featuring top eating athletes from the International Federation of Competitive Eating on June 8 in Los Angeles.
Sonya 'The Black Widow' Thomas added yet another world title to her collection winning with an astounding 9.5 large boxes of popcorn in 10 minutes. Thomas was challenged by Rich 'The Locust' LeFevre, who pused the contest to 2 one-box overtimes.
Crazy Legs Conti, the former World Popcorn Eating Champion, finished in third place with 7.5 boxes. Eric Badlands Booker, Jed Donahue and Carlene LeFevre finished just behind the leaders while MTV's Road Rules competitors lagged badly.
Thomas took home the grand prize - an MTV Movie Awards talent gift basket worth an estimated $10,000.
