CHESTNUT EDGES CINCOTTI TO CLAIM FIRST AMERICAN BURGER CO CROWN!
Well, that was close. Joey Chestnut was the first to finish four Roadstar Burgers at the inaugural American Burger Company Roadstar Challenge. He completed the challenge in four minutes and 24 seconds, just 24 seconds before second place-finisher Carmen Cincotti. Chestnut could not have foreseen such a close contest and was pushed to perform at his very best by Cincotti, who again impressed at the table.
There ain't no burger like the Roadstar burger because the Roadstar burger don't stop. For real: The thing is a beast. Each Roadstar comes loaded with a pound and a half of beef and four slices of cheese. Mortal citizens who complete one Roadstar burger at an American Burger Company outlet are awarded a T-shirt and glory for their efforts. Befitting the greatest gurgitators on the planet, the American Burger Company Roadstar Challenge pitted MLE's best against four Roadstar burgers and the clock. That's six pounds of American meat, 16 slices of American cheese and eight American buns. And that's a lot.
Chestnut's time of four minutes and 24 seconds stands as a new World Record. It was fittingly hard-fought, as great achievements always are.
