On April 26, the nation's finest athletes will once again converge upon the town of Stockton, CA for the World Deep-Fried Asparagus Eating Championship. Joey Chestnut has dominated this event since his first year on the circuit, and has taken home the title three years in a row. Each year he has also beaten his own record. The Stockton Asparagus Festival is a three-day, multi-event, food and entertainment festival that pays homage to all things asparagus.
The festival features two performing stages, an Asparagus Alley with the best deep fried asparagus found anywhere, one of the finest celebrity chef cooking demonstration kitchens, a fabulous Spear-Its of the Valley wine and beer pavilion, a craft show, exhibits by more than 70 food purveyors and 100 specialty merchandise vendors, and much more!
