On Saturday, August 19, Major League Eaters competed against local Indiana hopefuls as they made their way through a gustatory gauntlet at the Indiana State Fair.
Humble Bob Shoudt took home the title after a steeplechase consisting of pork sandwiches, beef ribeye sandwiches, turkey legs, grilled cheese sandwiches and cupcakes. Each food represented one of Indiana's own farming industries. Miss Indiana State Fair was be there to cheer on her favorite gurgitators.
Coming in second place was Jim "The Hammer" Hamrick of Springfield, IL, and Kevin "the Carburetor" Carr took home the bronze.
